Why does the Website Logo design have the Mission Statement with a center-based source of light surrounded by a blue sky?
Ephesians 1:9 God's secret plan has now been revealed to us; it is a plan centered on Christ, designed long ago according to his good pleasure. (New Living Testament)
Jesus Christ is the center of our life.
He is the center of our church.
Therefore he is the center of our Mission statement.
John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
(New Internatonal Version)
Jesus is the light of the world.
He is the source of light in the world of darkness.
Therefore Jesus is depicted as the source of light
in the middle of our Mission Statement.
Matthew 24:30 At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. (New Internatonal Version)
Jesus is the Son of Man and is our salvation.
He will appear in the sky, with power and glory.
Therefore in our Mission Statement, we search upward in the sky
for our guiding light while we do his work on earth.
